Plantar Fasciitis

Shockwave Therapy for Plantar Fasciitis & Foot pain in Birmingham

Effective Treatment for Plantar Fasciitis by Birmingham Shockwave

Heel pain or Plantar Fasciitis is one of our most common conditions that we treat at Birmingham shockwave. It can be a very debilitating condition where just walking or standing can cause discomfort.

It often feels worse first thing in the morning on rising and can happen for a variety of reasons including; tight calves, improper footwear, rapid changes in activity, biomechanics.

Plantar Fasciitis is due to microscopic tears that have developed over time in the thick tissue of the foot arch. This can lead to thickening of the tissue and even the formation of bone spurs due to constant pulling on the heel bone attachment.

We have had fantastic results treating plantar fasciitis/heel pain with shockwave after just 4 treatments.
