Shoulder Pain can include Frozen shoulder or Rotator cuff injury. The rotator cuff being a group of muscles (and their tendons) that help to stabilise the shoulder and provide small rotational movements. When the rotator cuff becomes inflamed or thickened (when inflammation becomes chronic), it can lead to impingement of the shoulder where the tendon gets trapped/pinched when moving the joint.
Shoulder Pain can be very uncomfortable for the sufferer affecting sleep, movement of the arm and even walking.
We see people with shoulder problems from all walks of life - musicians, sports people, desk workers, tradesmen etc...
Complications can arise if bone growth occurs (calcification) within the joint. Shockwave therapy is effective at treating rotator cuff tendinopathys and calcification issues.
